Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Solobuy, LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates MasterSet.io (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Who can use MasterSet.io

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or older if the law where you live requires it. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms on your behalf.

The Service

MasterSet.io is a free tool for tracking Pokémon Trading Card Game collections and master sets. You can use most of it without an account. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or stop the Service, at any time.

Your account

• You sign in with a link we email you, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used yours.
• Give us an email address you control, and don’t sign up on someone else’s behalf without their permission.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other people at risk.

Prices, card data and listings

Prices, values, checklists and listings on MasterSet.io come from third-party sources and our own matching of them (see our Methodology). They’re estimates for information only. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and a card’s real value depends on things we can’t see, such as its condition. Nothing on MasterSet.io is financial, investment, grading or appraisal advice. Check the details yourself before you buy, sell or insure anything.

Marketplaces and affiliate links

Links to eBay, TCGplayer and other marketplaces take you to services we don’t control. We don’t sell cards and aren’t a party to anything you buy there; the marketplace’s own terms apply, and any problem with a purchase is between you, the seller and the marketplace. We may earn a commission on purchases made through our links, at no cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

What you send us

When you send us corrections, missing cards, feedback or other material through the community form or by email, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, change and publish it to run and improve the Service. We credit you publicly only if you ask us to. Only send material you have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

• break the law, or help anyone else to, using the Service;
• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service in a way that burdens it, or copy substantial parts of our data to build a competing product;
• try to get around rate limits, security measures or access controls, or into accounts or areas that aren’t yours;
• interfere with the Service, or send it malware, spam or automated form submissions;
• impersonate anyone, or send us misleading reports.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code and our curated master sets and checklists, belongs to us and is protected by law. You may use it for your own, non-commercial collecting.

Pokémon, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and card names and artwork are trademarks and copyrights of The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK inc. We use them only to identify cards. Card images come from third-party sources and belong to their owners. MasterSet.io is an independent collector tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, or any marketplace provider.

If you believe something on MasterSet.io infringes your rights, email nick@masterset.io with the details and we’ll look into it promptly.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, available, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, including decisions you make based on its prices or listings. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your breaking these terms or misusing the Service.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections on what you send us, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law continue to apply afterwards.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes about them will be heard in the state or federal courts located there. If you’re a consumer living in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory laws and can bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll email account holders before it takes effect. Using the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
